This policy describes what the app collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can see or delete it. It is written to match what the software actually does. If the software changes, this page changes with it.

Daily readings, the calendar, saints' lives, prayers, chant lessons and the Scripture readers work without signing in. Your reading position, bookmarks, font and language choices are stored on your device only.
If you sign in with Google, we receive and store your Google account id, email address, display name and profile photo. We use them to identify your account, greet you, and keep your data together across devices. We do not receive your Google password.
If you sign in with Apple (in the iOS app), we receive and store the account id Apple gives our app, your email address (or the private relay address Apple creates if you choose to hide yours), and your name if you share it. We use them the same way. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
When signed in, your bookmarks, reading progress, lesson progress, the last day you opened, and the names you keep in your commemoration lists are stored with your account so they follow you between devices. Signed out, the commemoration lists stay on your device only. The names are never read aloud or sent to the speech service.
The chat assistant answers questions about Scripture and Orthodox Christian life. What you type is sent to Azure OpenAI (Microsoft) to generate the answer, together with the earlier messages in that conversation and the reading or saint's life it refers to. Microsoft processes it under its own terms and does not use it to train models.
When signed in, your conversation history is synced to our server so it is available on your other devices. It is stored in encrypted form: the app encrypts it before upload with a key derived from your account identifier. This protects it at rest and in transit. It is not end-to-end secrecy: because the key is derived from an identifier the server also holds, the operator could in principle decrypt it. We do not read conversations except to diagnose a fault you have reported.
Conversations you delete in the app are deleted from the server on the next sync. Deleting your account deletes them all.
When you listen to a reading, its text is sent to Azure Speech (Microsoft) to produce the audio, or spoken by your device's own voice if you choose that. The text is Scripture, not something about you. We keep a cache of generated audio so the same passage is not synthesised twice.
The chant lessons can listen through your microphone to show how your singing matches the notes. That audio is analysed on your device and is not recorded, stored or uploaded.
If you photograph an icon to find out which saint it depicts, the photo is sent to our server and on to Azure OpenAI to identify the saint. The photo is used only for that answer and is not kept after the request completes. Do not use this feature for photographs of people.
If you turn on notifications on the website, your browser's push subscription (an anonymous endpoint address) is stored on our server so we can send them. Turning notifications off removes it.
The iOS and Android apps use Firebase Analytics (Google) and the website uses Google Analytics to count which features are used and where the app fails. This is aggregated: which screens are opened, which readings are listened to, whether a sign-in succeeded. When you are signed in, these events carry your account identifier, so we can tell how signed-in use differs from anonymous use; they do not carry your name or email. No advertising identifiers are used and no advertising networks are present.
Our server infers your country from your IP address once, to choose the starting language and the nearest speech region. The app does not read your device's location, and the IP address is not stored.
Like every web service, our server records requests (address, time, path, outcome) for a short period to keep the service running and diagnose problems.
Microsoft processes chat text and icon photos as our service provider, under data protection terms that protect them at least as well as this policy does.
We do not sell personal data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than running the app.
The donate page links to an external site. We do not handle payment details and receive nothing about a donation you make there.
Account data, progress and chat history are kept while your account exists. The generated-audio cache holds Scripture text, not personal data. Server logs are kept for a short operational period.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights to rectification, restriction, portability and objection under data protection law, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the new version is published here.

თუ ევროპის ეკონომიკურ ზონაში ან გაერთიანებულ სამეფოში ხართ, მონაცემთა დაცვის კანონმდებლობით ასევე გაქვთ შესწორების, შეზღუდვის, გადატანისა და წინააღმდეგობის უფლებები და ზედამხედველ ორგანოში საჩივრის უფლება.
აპლიკაცია 13 წლამდე ბავშვებისთვის არ არის განკუთვნილი და მათგან მონაცემებს შეგნებულად არ ვაგროვებთ.
